Bijal Vora

Hi

My name is Bijal Vora. I live in Edgewater, NJ.

For the past 2 years, I've been working for a brokerage firm in New York City. My expertise is on mainly in market data and order management and execution. I work in the IT arena in product management and development.
Being a member of the market data development team, I am responsible for initiating enhancement of existing market data servers as well as analysis, design and development of existing market data servers. I have built market data feed processing servers to process consolidated Reuters RDF using SFC and RFA, designed and built simulators to provide market data for internal clients.
As part of the order processing team, I designed and created solutions to cross day orders from sell side clients with buy side orders, wrote applications to allow internal traders to process residual orders and implemented bulking solutions for japanese orders. I also built throttling solutions for high volume orders from algorithmic servers.

Prior to NYC, I was the development manager at CA (previously called Computer Associates) in Islandia, NY. During my four tenure at CA, I wore different hats. I managed small teams globally (China and India), worked in product management handling big clients and also wrote software.

Before joining CA, I was working for a small firm called Eclipse Networks in Eatontown, NJ. My six years at Eclipse Networks allowed me to gain experience on various fronts from writing software to client management.

My personal interests include playing tennis (still trying to get to 3.0), raquet ball (I can kick ass), playing the keyboard(I can finally play 'Mary has a little lamb') , movies and music.
